I hope everyone enjoyed the opportunity to try their Field Training Uniforms (FTU) this week! Remember to wear your dark blue undershirt and a rank slip-on on your green FTU shirt. Refer to your Parent Handbook for uniform and dress standards. FTU boots should also be blackened/cleaned with the black liquid polish from your shining kit. **Do not use this liquid polish on your parade boots though as they can only be shined with the Kiwi style polish and cloth.**
These are the events coming up over the next few weeks:
Fundraiser – The Parent Sponsoring Committee has launched a fundraiser selling 1 pound bags of coffee (beans or ground). Order forms and instructions went home with cadets at the end of the evening. Please review the forms and place your order online or by using the form. Please feel free to share the post on your social media, work place or with friends and family to increase our sales!
Marksmanship continues on November 22 from 1830-2030 hours at the hangar. Appropriate civilian attire is required and all cadets are welcome to attend!
November 23 – Regular Parade – All cadets will wear Field Training Uniform (and wedge). We have guest speakers joining us from the BC Ambulance Service and Qualicum Beach Fire Department. The canteen will be open so you can bring money if you wish to purchase a snack during the break.
November 30 – A physical training activity / team sport will occur so wear appropriate civilian attire and indoor running shoes.
A parent has volunteered to clean the hangar. If you would like to help in other ways, please ensure you speak with a member of the Sponsoring Committee executive by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
