Parade Announcements November 10, 2020

Weekly Announcements:

As mentioned on Tuesday, please review the requirements of the Duke of Edinburgh Award program and determine if you are interested in registering.  There is a substantial time commitment, and although you will get credit toward the award for activities you complete at cadets, there is a need for you to also complete some activities outside of cadets in order to receive the award.  More information can be found at www.dukeofed.org and www.dukeofed.org/bc/division-home. Please advise Capt Rose next week if you plan to participate.

Monday, November 16

Our first Air Rifle Range session of the year will occur at the hangar from 1900-2030 hours.  This activity is open to all cadets (new and returning).  New cadets will participate in a detailed safety briefing as it will be their first time on the range.  COVID protocols must be followed including the requirement to wear a non-medical mask.  Dress is civilian clothing (no uniform) and cadets should bring a water bottle.  The officers in charge are Capt Rob Schneider and CI Herrington.

Tuesday, November 17

We will have a regular parade from 1830-2100 hours.  COVID protocols must be followed including the requirement to wear a non-medical mask.  Dress is C3E – Winter dress (Boots, Pants, Dark blue t-shirt, Tunic and wedge) for all cadets except F/Sgt and above or those assigned to the flag party who will wear C3 (Boots, Pants, Light blue collared shirt, tie, tunic and wedge).  The officer in charge is Capt Rose.

Monday, November 23

Effective speaking with Mr. Debarros is via Zoom from 1830-2000 hours.  Although Zoom isn’t the same as in person, it’s the best we can do as we alternate in person and virtual offerings for effective speaking.  Cadets attending via Zoom are required to send their email address to Mr. Debarros so he can invite each cadet to attend the meeting.  Please send your email address to him at martinkayaker@hotmail.com.  Login details will be sent out next Friday, November 20.  The officer in charge is Mr. Dearros.

Tuesday, November 24
